'This chair takes up very little space when unassembled. By saving 80 to 90 per cent of an ordinary chair’s transport volume, Wood also spares the environment from large amounts of carbon dioxide, packaging materials and storage space. Wood’s components are bent with a traditional steaming technique that uses a minimal amount of wood. The wood used is local red beech with from sustainably managed forests. The chair is constructed to last for many years – another benefit to the environment. Concept and form: Åke Axelsson.'
