Giuliadreambox | Handmade paper theatres

Alice is waiting for Santa - by Giulia Adriana Leone

Giulia Adriana Leone has a lifelong long love for drawing and painting. After moving to Florence, she has cultivated her passion and knowledge of renaissance art. She has found a way to express this passion, in little worlds that tell a story in scenes and images in her wonderful dreambox; "vivid cinematic glimpses which look at sense and sensibility to tiny theatrical scenes of plays that will capture and enchant in amazement, the spectator. Evoking the same spellbinding enchanted charm we felt as children once upon a time.

Creating a dreambox is a laborious and long process, this inspiration stems from dioramas of old theatre cards and pop-up books. To create a dreambox from start to finish, takes between two to three weeks. The most challenging stage that takes the most time is research, study and

Florence Blossom | Daniel Libeskind for Ferragamo

Archistar Daniel Libeskind has created for Salvatore Ferragamo Parfums a special tribute to the City of Florence: Florence Blossom. The temporary installation located in the historic Piazza Santa Trinita, in the heart of Florence, will be on view during Pitti Uomo 90, from June 8th, 2016 till June 17th.

The 13-meter dynamic sculpture is composed of a matrix of planes and lines that cross-hatch the piazza in a shock of pure crimson. The composition evokes the stories, scents and sounds of the city, in the form of a futuristic flower: the Lily, Florence’s symbol.

Sketches of Florence Blossom by Daniel Libeskind can be received upon visiting the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum.

A morning coffee in the Orticoltura Gardens

The Caffetteria in Giardino dell'Orticoltura is very quiet in the morning. It's the ideal place to read your book sitting in the shade. Every late evening there's a different music live performance.
