Zara Cotton Slubber Sweater - try here for stock clearance

Cotton Pois Printed Top - S.Ambrogio Market

I'm always happy when it's sales time because I can have a look around and discover 'little tresures'. Do I sound like Gollum? Well my husband think it and gets bored (and boring) while he doesn't even seem to find anything worth reading to wait for me. But we know that getting what we want is worth fighting! :) Anyway, I'm so proud of my shopping that I disperately need to share it. This is the first part!

Kaamos - The Hut, Finland

Kaamos prototypes at SaloneSatellite, Milan, 2013
The Hut is the last collection of Kaamos drawing from Finnish log cabin culture and including lamps, a carpet, containers, acoustic panels and tabeltop products. The  prototypes presented at SaloneSatellite, Milan, 2013 are build on a new interpretation of the traditional log cabin, where people used to gather to spend time, tell stories, and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Kaamos is a collective of designers from Finland. Their designs are greatly inspired by Finnish culture and traditional production processes. "We aim to produce innovative products to create a convenient, enjoyable and interesting living environment, without forgetting local and ecological values. We appreciate authentic materials, and we are not afraid to use and combine them in experimental or imaginative ways. Our product prototypes have been created in co-operation with Finnish artisans, but our products are also suitable for industrial serial production."

Le Gout and/or the style of Marie-Hélène de Taillac is immediately recognizable in every space - store or house - she live in, from Paris, to Tokyo, to New York.
After starting her career in fashion and working in London for 14 years, Marie-Hélène decided to return to her first love: gemstones and color. Rediscovering Indian traditional methods dating back to the maharajahs, she begun her collections working with some of the finest artisans in India.
Have a look at her website here (don't miss the MHT Care Book - I love the idea and the graphic design!)

A morning coffee in the Orticoltura Gardens

The Caffetteria in Giardino dell'Orticoltura is very quiet in the morning. It's the ideal place to read your book sitting in the shade. Every late evening there's a different music live performance.

MoodBoard 40: My Auntie Mame

MoodBoard 40: Auntie Mame

I'm lucky, I have a sort of Auntie Mame. She was the one who was always looking at the irrilevant side of life and sometimes it's a helping attitude:-) She will be 92 in a couple of weeks and she's always busy with the ideal skirt lenghts! My present for her her next birthday will be the book of Patrick Dennis and a dinner out even if I know she'd prefer an iphone (I don't have the budget) or a pair of heels (she has too many of them and she's already too dangerous).
Have you read the book of Patrick Dennis? What do you think of it?
Tell me below or on facebook, I would like your opinion!
