Venini, Incalmo

Bolle by Tapio Wikkala

Incalmo is a very difficult technique which consists of melting together two blown forms to obtain a single, composite piece, usually with parts of different colours. And Incalmo is the working tecnique used to make the beautiful glassworks in the photos produced by Venini - one of the historic Italian glass-company, existing in Venice from 1921 - as part of the ArtGlass Collection. How beautiful!
