It all began when we were invited to see our friends cabin in Topanga Canyon. We instantly fell in love with the place. There were a few cabins on the property but none of them were available to rent. We started a dialogue with the owner and he encouraged us to build our own space with his materials. We initiated the task of clearing the site, cataloging the materials and beginning construction in the spring of 2011.
This small functional cabin in Topanga, California was designed and built by a young couple: Serena Mitnik-Miller and Mason St. Peter. It reminds me the love and passion of Le Corbusier creating his cabanon in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin (France, 1949). I love it!
