Mina Perhonen - JP

Arkistot Kyoto - shop

Coffee Cup and Saucer and Choucho cup with stand - porcelain + wood

'Akira Minagawa graduated from the famous Bunka Fashion College in Japan and worked as a pattern cutter before setting up his own label, Minä Perhonen in 1995. The name originates from Finnish, Minagawa being heavily influenced by the lifestyle and culture of that country, and translates as “I Butterfly”, his aim being “to make many beautiful designs like those of butterflies wings.” Minä Perhonen collections are built on the principles of durable design, the clothes do not change radically each season but rather evolve, with fabrics re-used and elements re-worked.'
In addition to the textile and fashion work, Minä Perhonen introduced original ceramics collection in 2008. I discovered the two pieces above - Coffee Cup and Saucer and Choucho cup with stand - at Couverture and the Garbstore and I do love them! I love also the interior style of her shops, so I add some photos in this post (you can see more here).

Or you could cook a Boo-tiful Halloween Cake or some White Chocolate Ghost Cookies (similar recipe here) like the ones following....hmmmmmm

DIY - Key Hanger

This is a really simple diy project to realize. Cut a page from a magazine with a photo or an illustration that you'd like to see on your wall and paste it on a sheet of wood (or on a cardboard). Dimensions are not so important, you can cut your page if the tablet is smaller or you can use more than one page - making collages - if the tablet is larger. Buy little hooks to attach on it - the ones I used in these photos are vintage, I found them in my parents' garage. That's it!
