Ash II chair by Thomas Bentzen

"Ash II is a personal, nerdy experiment where Thomas Bentzen attempts to minimise the use of materials and tools. The seat and back of the chair are made in the lightest and thinnest veneer possible, and instead of moulding the chair, Thomas Bentzen has bent the seat and back by hand and glued them onto the frame. The solid ash wood frame is assembled with dowels."

Thomas Bentzen is a Danish Industrial Designer based in Copenhagen. His work ranges from tableware to interior design, from furniture to industrial design. Thomas loves to create objects that engage and create curiosity, that are functional and simple and meet the human need while in use - and simply create joy while not!
