Apartment in Copenhagen by architect Anouska Hempel

British architect Anouska Hempel is responsible for the refurbishment of this old luxurious apartment in the heart of Copenhagen. The apartment’s resident, who has previously lived in Los Angeles and London, has kept close tabs on the building project. During the course of the five-year-long refurbishment period, he has participated in every choice regarding the materials and interior décor. He has given a high priority to establishing a calm, warm style throughout the apartment.
The final result is a bright apartment with an unmistakable minimalist style further accentuated by the simple, stylistically consistent lines permeating the apartment. The warmth of wood and the indirect lighting enhance the apartment with a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. Dinesen planks were used for the floor, the long dining table, the apartment’s spare bed, shelves, coffee tables, and more.
