Italian wool felt for Libratone


"Prato, the second largest city in Tuscany, Italy, is where centuries-old craft skills have successfully merged with modern industrial growth. Prato began to specialize in wool processing in the 12th century, and has grown to become Europe’s most important textiles and fashion centre."
Libratone - Copenhagen-based design audio company - has recently chosen to work with the wool produced by the manifacturer Lanificio Bigagli S.p.A. - established in 1973
in the Prato textile district - specialised in the production of felts, fabrics, needled fabrics etc.
Libratone has been working and learning together with Bigagli to develop a unique felt with specific acoustic filtering properties and softness, especially for their wireless speakers. (Read more...)
