Visiting the headquarters of the Ordine degli Architetti della Provincia di Milano - in via Solferino 19 - I was fascinated by the details of the stairs, and the use of vivid coulors together with old charming surfaces.
"Belonging to the Clerici, one of Milan's noble families, the palazzo that currently houses the offices of the Order of Architects was erected in 1850. Like many palazzi in Milan at the time, it is organized around a square courtyard — in this case, with porticoes on two sides — that provides light to the two-storey building's main rooms.
Located at Via Solferino 19, the building is tucked away in a historic area of Milan between the lively Brera district — traditional meeting point for the city's artists — and the more commercial, but no less interesting, neighbourhoods around Corso Garibaldi. (...)"
